B.E., A.M.I.E. Aust. : Sapper, 14th Field Coy., Engineers, A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting 26th May, 1917, and sailing 23rd March, 1918, after passing at Officers'' School, Roseville, crossed from Engineers Depot, Brightlingsea, to Havre in November. Served at Australian General Base Depot and 5th Division H.O. Claims Office, Sobie-le-Chateau and Charleroi, till demobilisation. Early education at Maitland High School. Later one year in Arts.
