B.A. : Captain, A.A.S.C., A.I.F., Egypt, France and England. Enlisting 5th October, 1915, and sailing 1st December, served with 2nd Australian Casualty Clearing Station from formation, as quartermaster. Promoted captain in 1916 and stationed at Bulford Military Hospital until after the Armistice. Director of the University Club from foundation, Fellow of St. Paul's College since 1912, and President of Sports Union, 1913. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at St. Paul's College.
