M.D., Ch.M., F.R.A.C.S. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in January, 1917, and sailing in April, was surgeon at No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Wimereux, from 12th June, 1917, to 18th July, 1918, when invalided to hospital. On recovery served for short periods at Nos. 3 and 47 Casualty Clearing Stations and No. 41 Stationary Hospital and No. 2 A.G.H. until demobilisation. Renwick Scholar and Haswell Prizeman. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
